CITREP: Critical Infocomm Technology Resource Programme
 
     
 

Critical Infocomm Technology Resource Programme (CITREP) is a training incentive programme to equip Singapore infocomm professionals with critical and emerging skills, thus enabling them to enhance their employability and to improve their organisations' competitive advantage.

 With effect from 1 April 2009, CITREP has been enhanced to provide higher funding for course and examination fees. Organisations who sponsor their employees for training can also benefit from "Absentee Payroll" support under the Enhanced CITREP: Critical Infocomm Technology Resource Programme.

SDF: Skills Development Fund
 
     
 

This fund was established with the primary objective of encouraging employers to invest in skills upgrading of their workforce for WDA Accredited WSQ and NSRS courses, as such SDF is only available to trainees who are sponsored by their employer but not to individuals.

The amount of funding is subjected to the workers’ age and educational level as stipulated in the table below.

40 years old and above, with GCE ‘A’ Levels & below. Others

 

90% of course fee OR $11 per training hour, whichever is lower

 

80% of course fee OR $7* per training hour, whichever is lower

SRP: Skills Redevelopment Programme
 
     
 

The SRP is a national funding incentive programme which allows company to claim on the salary of their employee while they attending any WDA Accredited WSQ and NSRS courses during working hours, subjected to the rates displayed below. Employers can apply for both SDF and SRP at the same time for their workers.

  Employees aged 40 & above with ‘A’ levels qualifications & below Other Employees
Absentee Payroll 90% of hourly basic salary
(capped at $10 per trainee-hour)
80% of hourly basic salary
(capped at $10 per trainee-hour)
Mandatory top-up by EMPLOYER for training conducted OUTSIDE working hours* 10% of hourly basic salary
(capped at $2.50 per trainee-hour)
20% of hourly basic salary
(capped at $2.50 per trainee-hour)
